Collect 4 POMO poems per student and presentation dates- first come first serve basis. Tue 8/31: One Note class account will be created. Explain class One Note account and navigate it explaining where all the assignments should be placed. Review the PoetryFoundations.org site and 4 poem review. The assignment for the poetry analysis will be thoroughly explained. The grade weight and deadlines are explained. Fri 8/27:Students will be writing the Argumentative Essay Texas & Ohio shootings- timed in class. Wed 8/25: housekeeping- collection of syllabus and seating chart. review of FSA terminology as it reflected the focus question of each reading/ multimedia prompt. Homework:Thu 9/2: Study and review for the Summer Reading Exam; create notes or annotations in your text to use on the exam. Tue 8/31: Re-read summer reading in preparation of the upcoming test. Study for Summer Reading Exam Picture Day have your forms and money available. Fri 8/27: Students will review the Poetry Foundations poems in the Poetry Foundation.com site and select 8 poems of their choosing to be used per nine weeks for the poetry analysis presentation. Wed -8/25 Begin completing the Day 1 Gun Control Controversy HW located in the Documents tab. Summer Reading book should have been read, please familiarize yourself and be prepared for the upcoming exam. Mon 8/23: Students will review, print, and sign the syllabus and review the website. Students will sign up for the Class Remind- text reminders system: 40404. Follow the instructions in the syllabus. Complete the homework assignment for Day 1 titled Gun Control Controversy found in the documents section of this websites, Follow the directions only for Day 1 and complete the requirements. If you have not read your summer reading book please do so and be prepared for an upcoming written exam. |
